A Classic!  Very unusual 1950's Chapeau for the high styling woman.  This hat is actually made in two pieces.  The black Merrimac peachbloom velour features a bow with rhinestone accent.  The pink velour section is wire rimmed and is embellished with sequins, beads and black thin whisps.  The large ball hat pins of black raffia are functional in holding the hat to the head but also are decorative and are pinning the two sections together.

I imagine this hat was meant to be worn in a variety of ways.  Remove the pink layer and you have a wonderful classic black cap.

This hat is in excellent vintage condition.  All rhinestones are present. 

Hat tag reads  22 1/2" There are no other labels.

A great classic collectible and very easily worn.
