A HARVEST CELEBRATION

Join professional gardener Anne Firth and colonial hearth cook Maureen Leavenworth as they bring in the harvest from the Caleb Garden then prepare the gatherings for a harvest meal from the open hearth. Maureen will demonstrate a variety of cooking methods utilizing period kettles and original reciepts from the 18th and 19th centuries. Come early to enjoy a day in 1821. Admission $20 per person helps support the on going programs at the Caleb Nickerson House.

HOLIDAY HEARTHSIDE OPEN HOUSE
This year the Nickerson Family Association's Christmas Open House will be a Preview Event for the Chatham 300th Anniversary Celebration. The setting will be December 1711 in the "Caleb House Tavern" where locals, (in period dress) are gathering to toast the Village of Monomoit in expectation of becoming a town in 1712. Come join us for this "back in time" experience. Enjoy refreshments prepared from authentic 18th century reciepts. No Fee.
